A collaboration between Chivas Regal, a leading Scotch whiskey brand whose DNA is the art of blending, and Masuizumi, a long-established sake brand that adheres to the principle of quality.
Scotch whiskey "Chivas Regal" was sent from Scotland to Japan using barrels used for maturing the unblended whiskey.
A blend centered on Junmai Daiginjo with a rice polishing ratio of 35%, using mainly Yamadaho, several types of Chivas Regal barrels, and different yeasts.
The distance from the Scottish distillery Strathaira, which produces Chivas Regal's key malt, to Masuda Sake Brewery in Toyama Prefecture is an attractive "8,888km", so we used the number "8" symbolically. Using it, it became the name "Link 8 (Eight)".
